eRIS OFFICIAL LAUNCHING

The Electronic Resources and Information Services (eRIS) was officially launched by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Daud bin Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education on the 9th of April 2008 at Institut Teknologi Brunei.

eRIS is a digitisation project of the ITB Library's Archive Collections. At the same time, the library also subscribes to five online databases. Some objectives of this project is to preserve and conserve the valuable ITB produced materials from physical tear and wear and to enhance the online accessability of these digital resources to the ITB community.

It is important for the ITB Library to keep abreast of current library developments parallel to the academic developments of ITB as one of the progressive higher educational establishments in Negara Brunei Darussalam.
