CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
The library collection is arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification Scheme. The class numbers are usually found on the spine of every library items.     The numbers consists of  letters and digits denoting its arrangement on the shelves according to its subject category. The class numbers are arranged alphabetically and numerically.

For example :   TA 403.6 GOR

      TA        Classification
      403.6   Class number
      GOR
First three letters of the author’s surname or the title

Therefore it is very important for any library users to consult the library computer system (OPAC) in the lending collection section, to obtain the class number in order to locate the item required.

FOOD AND DRINKS IN THE LIBRARY
Absolutely no food or drink is allowed in the reading and public areas of the library.

Food and drink are incompatible with the library's mission of preserving needed teaching and research materials. Spills and food stains cause rapid deterioration of paper materials, resulting in their loss and significant additional costs to the library for their replacement. An even more serious problem is that food and beverages attract insects and other creatures that infest the books and periodicals and damage paper and glue. The library has gone to considerable effort and expense to provide a library environment that is aesthetically pleasing. We therefore need the assistance of all library users to help keep the library in top condition.
