Suitable judges for the assessment and evaluation of the projects will be selected and appointed by the organising committee. The criteria for judging the projects may include the following:

• Novelty, Originality or Creativity of work
• Adaptability to commercial product/process development
• Contribution to meeting the human needs and the impact on society
• Marketability
• Presentation

The assessment of the projects will be conducted in two stages:

Stage 1: Preliminary Assessment

All entries will undergo a pre-qualification assessment. Only pre-qualified entries will be allowed to proceed into the final stage of the competition.

Stage 2: Final Assessment

For the final assessment a comprehensive report with all relevant details is required according to the stipulated instructions of the competition. Participants will be required to bring to ITB or arrange a suitable venue for their projects to be examined by the judges. Oral presentation and demonstration of each project to the judges is also required.
